Asked about the meaning of solaris Film 1972?

One possible reading of the end of Solaris is that the stage of return that the viewer sees is the first place to Kelvin's mind, then in the spirit of the ocean which collected his thoughts and replays. This would imply that the ocean has come to understand their emotions and a form of interspecies communication took place (which would contradict the message Lem that understanding is impossible) … In a sense, it does not matter – one of the many themes explored in the film is the subjective nature of reality. Wherever Kelvin is "really" located at the end of the film, it makes no difference to him. But it made a difference for me – I want to know what you think, where he is? What is the reality of this scene?

This is similar to another science fiction of a world that has created the mind actually. A Robbie Robot movie. I think that Star Trek too used this. I reserve the final decision and I do not think contact could come in any form, even those that can think just because if you do not know about this, then you are not aware of its existence. Not really answer your question.

The Russian answer to 2001, and very nearly as memorable a movie. The legendary Russian director Andrei Tarkovsky made this extremely deliberate science-fiction epic, an adaptation of a novel by Stanislaw Lem. The story follows a cosmonaut (Donatas Banionis) on an eerie trip to a planet where haunting memories can take physical form. Its bare outline makes it sound like a routine space-flight pict…

Solaris

Released in 1972, Solaris is Andrei Tarkovsky’s third feature and his most far-reaching examination of human perceptions and failings. It’s often compared to Kubrick’s 2001, but although both bring a metaphysical dimension to bear on space exploration, Solaris has a claustrophobic intensity which grips the attention over spans of typically Tarkovskian stasis. Donatas Banionis is sympathetic as the…
