Openness
If you are open to learning about climate change and the impacts it has on our great planet and all its various forms of life, then you have already taken a step toward global awareness. Each person who takes to heart and mind the realities of our climate crisis can, even with the smallest bit of effort, make a difference.

Awareness
Convictions and beliefs we hold true are very often shared with those around us. Whether we’re discussing climate change with those who agree it is a critical issue, deny its existence/significance, or have yet to form an opinion, we increase awareness. Every engaged conversation, be it one by one, groups or in mass, provides a platform to facilitate understanding and action.

Actions
Noted in the Climate Project website: "Be a catalyst for change. To end this crisis, it must become a part of our culture's political and social consciousness." Every action we take, great or small, does make a difference. How can you get involved? Actually, you’ve already started by understanding that the climate crisis is real.

Political
While we don’t endorse any political party or specific creed, we do feel a strong responsibility to spread information about the climate crisis. Get involved by contacting your congressman or congresswoman at http://www.house.gov/writerep/ and vote for candidates who support environmental initiatives.

"What else can I do?" Simply talk about it with others! Even minimal fine tuning in your everyday life – from adjusting your home thermostat, choosing energy efficient lighting, combining errands into one trip, cancelling junk mail, using cloth instead of paper towels, to walking, biking or taking public transportation – it all makes a difference!
